Hanumat Kawach Contractors is based over at 16/64, B-4-A in Kadipur Shivpur, Varanasi. If you’ve ever been to this part of Varanasi, you know it can be a bit hectic with all the narrow streets and people moving about. Our office is right in the middle of it all. We’re a contracting firm, so our days are filled with phone calls, checking on supplies, and making sure the guys are at the right site. It’s not a glamorous job, but it’s what we know. The office is pretty small and we’ve got stacks of files everywhere because we haven't quite figured out a better system yet. But it doesn't really matter as long as the work gets done. Most of us grew up around here, so we know the local area like the back of our hands. We don't have any big corporate slogans or anything like that. We just think that if you say you’re going to do something, you should probably just do it. Varanasi is a place with a lot of history, and we’re just a tiny part of the current day-to-day life here. We drink a lot of tea, talk about the projects, and try to keep our heads down. It’s a practical, no-nonsense kind of life. We’re just local contractors trying to make a living in a city we love. There’s no need to overcomplicate things when the job is right there in front of you.
