GOLDTECH TEXTILES PRIVATE LIMITED

We are located over at SA 6/171, H 8 in Srinagar Colony. Goldtech Textiles is what we call ourselves, but to most people around here, we’re just the textile guys in the neighborhood. Varanasi has a lot of competition when it comes to cloth, so we just try to keep our heads down and do our own thing. Srinagar Colony is a decent place to work out of. It’s not right in the middle of the main market chaos, which is a relief. Our daily routine is pretty simple. We open up early, check what needs to be dyed or woven, and get to it. We use a lot of traditional methods mixed with whatever newer stuff we can afford. It’s not a perfect system, but it works for us. There are days when the power goes out and we just sit around and talk until it comes back on. That’s just part of living in UP. We don’t have a big mission statement or anything like that. We just need to sell enough fabric to keep the lights on and pay everyone fairly. The name Goldtech sounds a bit fancy, but we’re just regular people in a dusty workshop. We like the smell of the cloth and the sound of the machines. It’s a good way to spend the day. We aren't trying to impress anyone, just doing the job that needs doing.
