If you look for us at B 1/5 in Gulab Baghsigra, you’ll find a small sign for Emeraldroyale Builders And Developers Private Limited. It’s a quiet enough spot most of the time, tucked away from the main traffic. Our office isn’t much to look at from the outside, just a regular door that leads into a room full of blueprints and concrete samples. We spend a lot of our time looking at these samples and talking to contractors on the phone. Sometimes the calls get a bit loud because the reception isn't great inside the thick walls. We’ve been operating out of this space for a while now, and the shelves are starting to sag under the weight of all the project files. There is a small desk near the window where one of us usually sits to watch the street while waiting for the computer to load. It takes a bit of time to get things moving in the morning, especially when we are waiting on news from a site. We don't have a receptionist or anything fancy; usually, whoever is closest to the door just opens it when someone knocks. It's a simple way of doing things, and it works for us. We focus on the building work and trying to make sure the materials we order show up when they are supposed to. It’s a lot of coordination and sometimes a bit of a headache, but we like the challenge of seeing things get built.
