Our office is at House No 120 on Road No-1, right near Sahjanand Chowk in Basant Vihar Colony. If you know the chowk, you know it’s a landmark for everyone around here. Dharini Engicon Private Limited has been set up here for some time now. It’s a residential neighborhood, so it’s actually quite peaceful compared to the main market area. The house we work out of is pretty standard for the colony, nothing flashy. We use the front rooms for the engineering work and the back for storage and stuff. Sometimes the power goes out and we just sit around talking until the generator kicks in. Road No-1 is easy enough to find, though parking can be a bit of a headache if you’ve got a big car. We spend a lot of our time going over blueprints or checking on site progress through photos. It’s a small operation, just a handful of us trying to keep everything organized. The walls have a few old calendars and some maps pinned up. We don’t really bother with decorating much because we’re usually too busy with the technical side of things. It feels more like a home than a corporate office, which is fine by us. It’s a straightforward way to run a business. We get our work done, deal with the neighbors, and try to make sure the projects stay on schedule without too much drama. It is just the way we like to operate.
