Royal Needle Works

Royal Needle Works is situated at A- 32/65-b in Chittanpura. It is a bit of a walk through the narrow lanes to get to us, but that’s just how this neighborhood is built. The area is full of people working on various crafts, so you always hear the sound of machines or tools from the houses nearby. Our workspace is not very large. It is mostly taken up by sewing tables and stacks of fabric. We have thread in almost every color you can imagine sitting on the shelves. It’s a bit dusty because of all the lint and cloth, but we don't mind it much. The light isn't always the best, so we have some strong lamps over the work areas so we can see what we are doing with the needles. Most of us here have been doing this kind of work since we were young. It is a quiet place inside, mostly just the clicking of the machines. Sometimes we have tea together in the afternoon and talk about the news. The neighbors often drop by to borrow something or just to chat for a minute. Royal Needle Works is a humble place. We don't have a big sign or a lobby. It’s just a room where we work with our hands and try to keep the orders moving out on time. We take it one day at a time.
