Varanasi is a city that never really stops, but tucked away in the colony, it’s a bit more peaceful. We focus on creations—mostly stuff that involves a lot of manual work and attention to detail. It’s not a high-tech operation. We have a few rooms set up for work and a small space for storage. Most of the people working here have been friends or neighbors for a long time. We drink a lot of chai and talk about the work while we’re doing it. Sometimes we have to deal with the typical Varanasi stuff, like power cuts or the narrow streets getting blocked. But we’ve lived here all our lives, so it doesn't bother us much. We aren't looking to become a giant corporation. We just want to make things that people find useful and keep our small team going. It’s a very hands-on kind of place. You might find some thread on the floor or a stack of boxes in the hallway. That’s just how we work. It’s a simple setup in a quiet corner of a very old city, and that suits us just fine. We just take things as they come and try to do right by the people we work with.
