Charkha Fashion

Charkha Fashion is situated near Pokhara in the Sankul Dhara area. It’s a place with a lot of character and history. We chose the name because we appreciate the old ways of making things, even if we use modern tools now. Our shop is quite small, but it’s packed with personality. We mostly work with traditional fabrics and styles that people in this area have worn for a long time. It’s a family-run kind of thing, so there’s always someone around who can tell you a story about the neighborhood. We spend our days sorting through cottons and silks. The lighting isn’t the best in the back of the shop, but we’ve got used to it over the years. We don't have a website or a big marketing plan. People just know we're here near the Pokhara. If you stop by, you might see us sitting out front for a few minutes when the weather is nice. We take our time with each piece we make because we don’t see the point in rushing. It’s more about making something that lasts and feels right to the person wearing it. We’ve seen the streets around Sankul Dhara change over the years, but we’ve stayed pretty much the same. We like the pace of life here. It’s simple, honest work, and that’s all we ever really wanted to do with our time. We hope to keep doing it for a long while.
