Aadam Silk Llp

If you know Varanasi, you probably know the Sigra area fairly well. We are located at C 19/187-20 in Gulab Bagh. Aadam Silk Llp has been running from this spot for some time now. The streets around here are narrow and usually crowded with people and rickshaws, which is just typical for this part of town. Our building is easy enough to find if you know the local landmarks. Inside, it’s mostly shelves and bundles of silk everywhere you look. Silk is what we do, and there’s always plenty of it around to be sorted. The light in the workspace isn't the best in the afternoons, so we use a lot of extra lamps to see the fine patterns clearly. It’s not a big corporate office with glass walls or modern furniture. It feels more like a traditional workshop. We spend our hours checking the weave and making sure the dyes look right under the light. Sometimes the tea man comes by and we take a quick break, but mostly we are just working through the piles of fabric. The 221010 area code is home to a lot of businesses like ours. You can hear the hum of the city all day long. We handle the orders as they come in and try to stay on top of the packing. It gets very humid here during the rains, which isn't great for the silk. We just keep our heads down and get the work done.
