Sterling Pigments & Colours

Working in the GIDC area in Phase IV is exactly what you’d expect from an industrial hub. Our unit, Sterling Pigments & Colours, is located at C-1-B-2510. It’s a lot of numbers to remember, but once you find the gate, it’s easy enough to spot us. We deal with pigments all day, so there’s always some color on someone’s boots or a bit of dust on the windows. It’s just part of the job and nobody really minds much. The neighbors are mostly other factories doing similar heavy work, so there’s a constant hum of machinery in the background all the time. We don't spend much time worrying about how the front office looks to visitors. As long as the production is moving and the pigments are coming out the right shade, we’re satisfied. Some days the humidity in the GIDC makes everything feel a bit slower, but we push through it anyway because the work doesn't stop. We have a small team here. We’ve known each other for years, which makes the long hours a bit easier to handle. You won’t find any shiny brochures or marketing talk here. Just some old files and the sound of the mixers going in the back. We keep a regular schedule, starting early before it gets too hot in the afternoon. Usually, we're just focused on the next batch of color. It’s honest work, and it keeps us on our feet. Sometimes the tea stall down the road is the highlight of the afternoon.
