Asian Dye Chem Industries

Our place is over in Vapi, specifically in the GIDC area. We have Shed A-2/9 in the 1st Phase. It’s tucked away behind the UPL plant, which is a big landmark around here. Working in the industrial zone means it is always noisy and there are trucks moving in and out at all hours. We deal with dyes and chemicals, so the shed always has that specific smell of industry. It’s not a glamorous job, but it’s what we do. We spend a lot of time checking the vats and making sure the orders are ready for the loaders. The floor is usually stained with different colors because that’s just the nature of working with dyes. We have a small office space carved out in one corner where we keep the records. It gets hot in Vapi, especially in the summer months, and the metal roof of the shed doesn’t help much. We just keep the fans going and stay busy. Most of the guys here have been working together for years. We know the rhythm of the machines. If one of them makes a weird noise, someone knows how to fix it with a wrench and some patience. We aren't trying to be the biggest company out there. We just want to get the work done right so we can go home to our families in the evening. It's a simple life and it keeps us occupied.
