Raj Medical Agencies takes up Shop No. 1, 2, 3, and 8 in the Gokul Market on Station Road. Having several shops in the same market keeps us running back and forth between them all day long. Station Road is always packed with people coming from the trains, and there’s a lot of shouting and honking going on outside. Gokul Market is an older building, so it has a lot of character and maybe a few cracks in the walls. We use the different shops for different parts of the business, like storage in one and the main counter in another. It’s a bit of a maze sometimes, especially when we’re in a hurry to find a specific item for a customer. We don’t have a fancy showroom or a team of people in suits. It’s just us in our shirtsleeves, moving boxes and writing out bills by hand. The ceiling fans spin all day but don't do much against the humidity. We know the other shopkeepers in the market well, and we often share a cup of tea in the mornings. There’s a constant stream of porters and delivery bikes weaving through the crowds outside. It’s a loud, vibrant place to work and there’s never a dull moment. We just keep track of our inventory and try to stay organized amidst the chaos of the station area.
