Our place is at Plot No. 5106, right in the fourth phase of the GIDC area. If you know the big water tank, we are pretty much right near that. The Vapi Paper Mill is also right there, so you can usually smell the paper being made when the wind blows the right way. It’s a very industrial part of town, always busy with big lorries coming in and out of the gates. We’ve got our lab set up here because it’s where all the action is in Vapi. The roads inside the GIDC can be a bit bumpy, especially after it rains, but you get used to it. We spend most of our time inside the building focusing on the testing and whatever else needs doing for the day. It’s not a quiet place, but it’s productive. Being near the paper mill means there’s always people moving around. We don’t have much in the way of a fancy lobby or anything like that. It’s just a workspace with some desks and the lab equipment in the back. Most of us bring lunch from home and eat together when there’s a gap in the schedule. It’s a straightforward setup. Sometimes the power flickers when the heavy machinery next door starts up, but we just deal with it. It’s just part of being in this section of the industrial estate. We’ve been here long enough that the local chai guy knows exactly what we want.
