Diamond Sofa Seat Work

You can find us at shop number 5 in the Emperor Tower, right near the HDFC Bank on Vapi Road in the Chala area. It’s a busy spot with lots of cars and people passing by all day. We spend our time working on sofas and seats, so the shop is usually full of foam, fabric scraps, and old cushions waiting to be redone. There’s always the smell of glue and the sound of the sewing machine running in the back. We started doing this work because we’re good with our hands and there are always people who need their furniture fixed up. It’s not a fancy showroom with bright lights. It’s a workshop where we get our hands dirty every day. We’ve got stacks of different materials tucked into corners, and sometimes it’s hard to find a place to sit down because of all the furniture we’re working on. We don't really do much advertising; people just see our shop when they’re going to the bank or driving down Vapi Road. It’s a local business through and through. We take the old, worn-out seats and try to make them usable again. Some days are long, especially when we have a lot of big sofas to finish, but we just take it one piece at a time. It’s practical work and we’re glad to be part of the neighborhood here in Chala.
