Shri Mahalaxmi Gruh Udhyog

Shri Mahalaxmi Gruh Udhyog is located in the GIDC Umbergaon area. You can find us right in the Umbergaon Industrial Area, not far from the Badshah Masala Factory. We are a small unit that makes various homemade-style food items. It’s mostly manual work here, with a few small machines to help us out. We have several people from the local neighborhood who come in to help with the sorting and the packaging. We make things like papads and some basic spice mixes. The building is just a simple industrial shed. It’s not very fancy, and we don't have a reception desk or a waiting area. Most of our day is spent at the work tables. Since we are in the GIDC, there are always big trucks and noise from the other factories around us. We’ve been here for a few years now. We don't have a big marketing plan; we just sell to the shops nearby and some distributors who know our work. Sometimes we run behind on orders if someone is out sick, but we eventually catch up. We take a break in the afternoon to sit and talk. It’s a small group of us and we all get along. We just focus on making our products and getting them out of the door. There’s no big corporate mystery here, just people working to earn a living in Umbergaon.
