Our workshop is located at 1403//2 in Gidc, Phase III over in Umbergaon. It’s quite a way out but that is where all the industrial action is. The building is a sturdy one which is good because we do a lot of heavy lifting with our automation systems. You can hear the hum of electronics and the clank of metal pretty much from the moment you walk in. We have been in this spot for some time and have gotten to know the other shop owners around Phase III. It is a gritty sort of place where people actually make things. Inside our unit, it is mostly a mix of workbenches, wires, and control panels. We don't have a fancy reception area because most of our visitors are more interested in what we are building than where they sit. The guys wear work clothes and usually have grease or dust on them by noon. It's a practical environment. We spend a lot of time testing out the logic in the systems we build. Sometimes it takes a few tries to get the sensors to behave. We don't mind the trial and error though. It is part of the job. Usually, the coffee is strong and the talk is about how to make a machine run smoother. We just focus on getting the job done right for whoever needs it. It’s a simple life but it keeps our hands busy and the shop running. We are just regular workers.
