Pankaj Timber Industries

Pankaj Timber Industries is based out of Plot No. 321 in the New G.I.D.C. area of Gudlav. Being in the Valsad district means we get some pretty heavy rains during the monsoon, which always makes things interesting at a timber yard. The industrial estate is a huge place, and our plot is just one among many. You can usually smell the fresh-cut wood before you even see our gate. We have a lot of heavy machinery for cutting and moving the logs, so it is never a quiet place. We start very early in the morning when the air is still a bit cool. Most of our day is spent outdoors or in the big open shed where the wood is stored. It’s dusty work and by the end of the day, everything we wear is covered in sawdust. We don't have a fancy reception area. If you come by, you’ll probably find us near the saws or talking to the truck drivers who are loading up. We’ve been in Gudlav for a long time, and we’ve seen the G.I.D.C. grow quite a bit over the years. It’s a tough business that requires a lot of physical strength and patience. We don't bother with fancy marketing or big speeches. We just handle the timber, keep the machines running, and make sure the deliveries get sent out to the construction sites or shops that need them.
