We operate out of the first unit in the Ketan Complex in Halar. It’s a basic setup, really. We handle trading, so there is always something coming in or going out. The space is mostly filled with inventory and packing materials. We don’t have fancy rugs or air conditioning that works all the time. It’s more about the crates and the ledgers. Halar is a busy area, and the complex stays active from early morning until late evening. You can hear the sounds of the street and other businesses around us. We spend a lot of time checking manifestos and making sure the counts are right. It’s not glamorous. My shoes are usually a bit dusty from the warehouse floor. We’ve been in this unit for a while, and the walls are covered in old calendars and notes we’ve scribbled over the years. We don't use much technology besides the basics needed to keep track of the stock. It’s a hands-on kind of business. We talk to suppliers and customers face-to-face mostly. Sometimes the loading bay gets blocked and we have to sort that out before we can do anything else. It's just the daily routine of a trading house. We don't try to be anything we aren't. We just move goods from one place to another and try to keep the books balanced. It’s a living, and it keeps us on our feet all day long.
