Dev Computers

Dev Computers is located on the 1st Floor of China Town. We are right near the Hari Om Hospital, so that’s the easiest way to tell people where we are. Our shop is full of monitors, cables, and old keyboards that we use for spare parts. We spend most of our time fixing laptops or putting together desktops for people who need them for work or school. It’s a bit of a mess with all the wires everywhere, but we know where everything is kept. China Town is a busy building, and we have people popping in all day with broken screens or slow hard drives. Sometimes we can fix things quickly, other times we have to keep the machine for a few days to get the right parts. We don't have a big fancy sign, just a small one on the door. It’s usually just a couple of us working here at the benches. We have a small area in the back where we do the soldering and the more technical stuff. We drink a lot of tea and listen to the radio while we work to keep our energy up. It’s a quiet enough place despite being near the hospital. We’ve seen a lot of computers come and go over the years. Technology changes fast, so we’re always having to learn something new. We just try to get people’s machines working again so they can get back to their own lives.
