Being in the Engineering GIDC Estate means we are surrounded by a lot of noise and activity all day. Giglow Engravers Pvt. Ltd. is located at Plot A1/312. It’s a standard industrial plot, nothing too special to look at from the outside. Inside, we have our machines set up and they take up most of the floor space. It smells like metal and oil in here most of the time, which is something you just get used to after a week on the job. We do a lot of engraving work, so there is usually the sound of tools hitting metal or machines humming in the background. It is a hands-on kind of place. We don't have a fancy office upstairs; we mostly just work right there on the shop floor. If someone comes by, they usually find us with our sleeves rolled up. The estate is busy, and parking can be a bit of a nightmare if you arrive late in the morning. We’ve been here long enough that we know the delivery drivers by name. We just focus on getting the pieces right. If a machine breaks down, we fix it ourselves if we can. It is a steady way to spend the day. We aren't trying to be the biggest company out there. We just want to do the work that comes in and keep the lights on. It’s a lot of repetitive tasks, but it suits us fine.
