Deep Computer Centre

We are right across the street from the big Hindustan Lever Company plant. It’s a huge place, so most people know exactly where we are just by looking for their gates. At Deep Computer Centre, it’s mostly just us sitting in front of screens all day. We do a lot of typing, some printing, and fixing up people's machines when they stop working for no reason. It gets a bit cramped in here because we have old monitors and cables piled up in the back. The fans are always humming to keep the computers from getting too hot, but sometimes it still feels stuffy in the afternoons. People from the factory across the way sometimes pop in for things, and we see the shift changes happening from our front window. It’s a good spot because there is always something moving outside. We don’t really have a fancy sign or anything, just the one over the door. The floor is a bit worn out from people coming in and out, but we don't mind. It feels like a lived-in space. Sometimes the internet is slow and we just have to sit and wait, which can be frustrating when there’s a lot to do. But mostly, it’s just a regular routine of troubleshooting and clicking away at keyboards. It’s what we know how to do, so we just stick to it.
