Ashavi Industries

Ashavi Industries is out at Plot No. C1B-2435, Phase-3, in the G.I.D.C. Estate in Vapi. If you’ve ever been to the GIDC area, you know it’s all about industry and big trucks. Our plot is quite large, and it’s mostly taken up by the machinery and the storage areas. It gets very hot in the afternoons, so we have big industrial fans blowing all the time to keep the air moving. There is always a layer of fine dust on the windows, no matter how many times we clean them, but that’s just life in an industrial estate. We have a small office section where the desk is covered in blueprints and delivery notes. The noise from the machines is pretty constant, so we’ve all gotten used to talking a bit louder than normal. We don't get many walk-in visitors here. It’s mostly transport drivers and people coming to check on the production. We focus on the manufacturing side of things, making sure the shifts are running on time and the equipment is being looked after. It’s hard work and the days are long, but we’ve been at this location for a while and we know the rhythms of the estate. It’s a practical, busy place that doesn't stop for much, except maybe for a quick tea break.
