We are located in Narayanpur Bedaulia, which is a village in the Goraul area of Vaishali. Our place is at Triloki Nath Sah’s property. If you ever come through Goraul, you might notice the smell of spices in the air around our area. We spend our days grinding and mixing different masalas. It is dusty work, and you end up sneezing a lot if you aren't careful. The village life is slow, but inside the unit, we stay pretty busy. We have some machines for the grinding, and the rest is handled by hand. It’s a basic operation. We don't have a big corporate office or anything like that. Just a solid building where we can do our work. The weather here in Vaishali can be quite humid, so we have to make sure the spices stay dry. That is probably the hardest part of the job. Most of the people working here are from the village or nearby, so it’s a local crowd. We talk about the crops and the rain while we work. It’s a practical way to spend the day. We are registered as a company, but we still operate like a small-town shop in many ways. We just focus on getting the spices ground up and packed into bags so they are ready for the market. It’s honest work and it keeps us all occupied. There is always a new batch of chili or turmeric waiting to be processed.
