L & T Construction

Our office is right here in Baksama village, not too far from the middle school. If you are walking past the school, you can usually see our trucks or some of the materials parked nearby. This is where L & T Construction handles the local projects in the Chehrakala taluka. It gets pretty dusty out here, especially when the weather is dry and the wind picks up. We have a small team from the local area and we spend a lot of time out on the sites rather than sitting behind a desk. Most of the guys here have been working with stone and cement for years. We keep our tools in the back and there is usually a pot of water for anyone who stops by. It is a simple setup, nothing like those big glass buildings in the city. We deal with the day-to-day stuff of building and fixing things. Sometimes the supplies take a while to get to this part of the village, but we make it work. The school kids walk by every afternoon and they always peek in to see what we are doing. It is a quiet place mostly, except when we are loading up the trucks for a big job. We just try to do honest work and stay on top of the schedule. It is not always easy in the heat, but this is what we do here in Chehrakala. We just keep building things and moving from one project to the next as the seasons change.
