Videsh Parcel Service

SB 3 on M T Marg in Subhanpura is where we do all the packing and shipping. Videsh Parcel Service is a small shop, but it is always full of boxes and rolls of brown tape. People come here when they want to send something to their family members living in other countries. We spend a lot of our day weighing packages and making sure the labels are written clearly so nothing gets lost. It is a lot of physical work, especially when someone brings in a big crate of household goods. The floor is usually covered in scraps of paper and bits of bubble wrap. We have a big industrial scale that takes up a lot of room near the entrance. It isn't a fancy courier office with a shiny reception desk. We just have a wooden counter where we fill out the customs forms. We know the regular customers who come by every few months with gifts for their kids abroad. Sometimes the tape dispenser breaks, or we run out of boxes, and things get a bit chaotic. We don't have any corporate uniforms, just our everyday clothes. It is a busy and loud place, but we like the pace of it. We just focus on getting every parcel ready for the evening pickup so it can start its long journey. It’s a basic business built on just packing things up and sending them out.
