Tapan Provision Stores

We have been here at D-29 on Veerapillai Street for quite some time now. Being right near the Kailashpati Mahadev temple means there is always someone passing by on their way to pray or coming back home. Tapan Provision Stores is just a small place where we keep the things people in Channi Naka need daily. It is not a big fancy supermarket, just a regular shop where you can find your flour, tea, and maybe some soap if you ran out. Sometimes the delivery trucks are a bit late and the front of the shop gets messy with crates, but we manage to get everything inside eventually. My family helps out with the counting and the shelves too. We know most of the people who live around here by their names. It is funny how you start to notice what every regular customer likes to buy. One person always wants a specific brand of biscuit, while another only buys one type of cooking oil every Tuesday. We try to keep those things on the shelf so they don’t go home disappointed. The heat in the afternoon can be a lot, so we sometimes sit outside on a small stool when things are quiet. If you are walking down from the temple side, you will see us there. The shop is small but it holds a lot of stuff. We spend our whole day here just making sure things are okay. It is a simple life.
