Arun Exim

Arun Exim operates out of Samta Flats on Arunachal Road in Suban Pura. It’s an apartment building, so it feels more like a home than a corporate office. We use the A-6/61 unit. There are boxes piled up in the hallway sometimes and the dining table is usually covered in export documents and customs forms. It’s a family-run sort of thing. Suban Pura is a nice enough area, fairly quiet compared to the main roads. We spend a lot of time emailing people in different time zones, so someone is usually awake and working at odd hours. We don't have a big warehouse attached to the place; we mostly manage the flow of goods from here. It gets a bit cluttered with samples and shipping labels. My neighbor sometimes complains about the delivery guys coming in and out, but we try to keep it low-key. We’ve been doing this for a while now, starting out with just a few small orders. We don't have a fancy lobby or a sign out front. If you’re looking for us, you just follow the numbers on the flats. It’s a practical way to run a business without all the overhead of a big office block. We drink a lot of coffee and stay busy with the paperwork that comes with moving things across borders. It is just a few rooms and a lot of work every single day.
