Shree Krishan Provision Store

Shree Krishan Provision Store is located on the Main Road in Subhanpura, Vadodara. This part of the city is always active, and our shop is right in the middle of the daily shuffle. We carry all the usual stuff you’d expect to find in a neighborhood provision store. There are stacks of soap, rows of different oils, and plenty of snacks for the kids who stop by after school. The floor is made of old stone and it’s a bit worn out from all the feet walking over it for years. We don't have a lot of help, so it's usually just one or two of us handling everything from sweeping the floor to checking the expiry dates on the milk packets. Vadodara can get very humid, and sometimes the humidity makes the labels on the jars peel off, but the food inside is still fine. We spend a lot of time organizing the small items like matches and batteries near the front so people can grab them easily. The shop isn't arranged by some professional designer; we just put things where they fit. We know which neighbors like which brand of flour and we try to keep it ready. It’s a quiet kind of work, mostly just waiting for the next customer and making sure the inventory doesn't run out. We aren't trying to be the biggest store, just a reliable place for the people living in Subhanpura.
