We’ve been sitting here at the Race Course Towers for a good while now, up on the second floor in rooms 225 and 226. It’s a busy spot near the Race Course Circle, and if you’ve ever tried to park around here during the day, you know exactly what I mean. Our office isn’t anything fancy, just a place where we get the maritime paperwork done and keep things moving. We spend a lot of our time on the phones or looking at schedules, making sure things go where they are supposed to. Some of us have worked here for years and seen the neighborhood change quite a bit, but the core of what we do at Seagull Maritime Agencies stays pretty much the same. It’s mostly about coordinating between different people and making sure the ships and the cargo don’t get stuck somewhere they shouldn't be. We drink a lot of tea, deal with the occasional computer glitch, and try to keep up with all the regulations that seem to change whenever they feel like it. It’s a steady kind of life. People come in and out, couriers arrive with documents, and we just keep plugging away at it. We’re not trying to be the biggest or anything like that, we just want to do the job right so we can go home at the end of the day knowing things are handled. It’s honest work, even if it gets a bit chaotic sometimes when the ports are backed up.
