Sarvajanik Eye Hospital

Down in Salatwada, Raopura, you’ll find our eye hospital. It’s one of those parts of town where there’s always something going on. We’ve been operating out of this building for a long time, and it shows in some of the corners, but we keep the equipment in good shape. People come from all over the Raopura area because they know we’ve been here forever. We don't spend money on big billboards or radio ads. Most people just hear about us from their uncle or a neighbor who got their eyes fixed here. The waiting area is usually full of older folks chatting about the news while they wait for their turn. It can be a bit slow some days, but we try to get through the list as fast as we can without rushing anyone. Eyes are delicate things, so we take the time that’s needed. The staff here is like a small family; we’ve worked together for years and know each other's habits. We drink a lot of chai in the breakroom when there’s a spare five minutes. It’s a simple setup—nothing flashy, no marble floors or fancy art on the walls. Just desks, chairs, and the tools we need to help people see a bit better. We’re just glad to be a part of this community and help out where we can.
