Sankalp Bhandej

Sankalp Bhandej is located at 2 Shashwat Complex, right near the Haveli in Isanpur, Alkapuri. It’s a nice enough area, though parking can be a bit of a headache during the peak hours. We have been working out of this unit for a few years now. The space inside is mostly taken up by our inventory, so there isn't much room to walk around. We start our day early, usually around nine, and stay until the sun goes down. Most of the time, we are just checking through the latest arrivals or packing things up. It’s a very hands-on job. We don't have a lot of employees, just a few of us who have known each other for a long time. We handle everything ourselves, from the cleaning to the accounting. It’s not always perfectly organized, and sometimes we lose a pen or a notebook in the middle of a busy afternoon. The Haveli nearby brings a lot of people to this street, so we see a lot of foot traffic passing by the window. We just keep our heads down and do the work that needs doing. There isn't any grand philosophy behind it. We just have a shop and we try to run it as best as we can without making too much of a fuss. It’s just how we earn our living here.
