Ravi Joshi

If you head over to Karelibaug and find your way to Kudalwadi, you will see C 33. That is where I am based. It is a busy little corner of the world. Ravi Joshi is just the name on the door, but there is a lot of effort that goes on inside. The space is a bit cramped because we have a lot of stuff stored away, but we manage. I’ve lived around here for a long time, so I know the shortcuts and the best places to grab a quick snack during the lunch break. The office doesn't have any of those modern decorations you see in magazines. It’s got old wooden chairs and a table that has seen better days. But it’s sturdy and it serves the purpose. Sometimes the electricity acts up, but we just wait it out or use a torch if we have to. Dealing with the daily tasks is just part of life. I don't think much about being a business owner in a big sense. I just think about the tasks on my list for Tuesday or Wednesday. People stop by, sometimes they stay for tea, sometimes they are in a rush. I like the familiar faces of Kudalwadi. It makes the work feel less like a chore. We keep the gate open most of the day unless it’s raining hard. It’s just a straightforward place where I do what I know how to do.
