Rana Jagdish Ranchhod

Down in Sankheda, things move at a bit of a slower pace than the big cities. We are located in Thorat Colony. It’s a quiet residential neighborhood for the most part, which makes it a nice place to work. Rana Jagdish Ranchhod is the name we use for everything official. The building isn't anything special to look at. It’s just a one-story structure with a small yard in front where a few stray cats like to sleep. Inside, I’ve got my setup with a few tables and chairs. It’s where we handle the daily business. I usually have the radio playing softly in the background to keep things from being too quiet. The neighbors in Thorat Colony are friendly and often stop to say hello when they walk past. We don't have a lot of walk-in customers because we aren't on a main commercial street. Most people call us first or send a message. I do most of the work myself, though I have a younger cousin who helps out when there's a lot of lifting to do. The walls are painted a pale blue that’s starting to peel a bit near the ceiling. I keep meaning to fix it, but I never seem to find the time. It’s a comfortable enough spot. We don't have fancy brochures or a sales team. We just do what we do and try to stay honest about it. It works for us.
