Rajnigandha Provision Stores

You can find us right on Tandalja 1st Main Road, look for the B 2 building. It’s a provision store so we have a bit of everything shoved into the shelves. From bags of rice to those little packets of biscuits the kids like. It gets really crowded in the evenings when everyone is coming home from work and realizes they forgot to buy oil or sugar. I usually stand behind the counter while my nephew helps grab things from the high shelves. Sometimes we run out of something popular and people have to wait until the next delivery comes on Tuesday. The fans in here don’t do much when it’s hot outside but we’re used to it. We know most of the families living in the nearby blocks. They come in to chat as much as they do to shop. We keep a notebook for the regulars who pay at the end of the month. It’s a lot of manual work, lifting heavy sacks and making sure the pests don't get into the grain. The floor gets dirty pretty fast with all the foot traffic but we sweep it when there’s a lull. We aren’t like those big supermarkets where everything is under bright lights. Here you might have to move a box to see what’s behind it. It’s a bit messy but we know where every single item is kept. If you need something for your kitchen, we probably have it somewhere in these stacks.
