J. K. Optica Intenational

We are located in Saisagar Apartment, which is right across from the Aalok Balwadi on R. V. Desai Road. It is a familiar landmark for anyone who lives in this part of town. J. K. Optica International has been operating out of this space for quite a bit. It is a ground-floor setup, which makes it easier for moving boxes in and out without having to deal with stairs. We handle optical goods, mostly frames and lenses that go out to shops around the region. The space is not huge, but we have managed to organize it so we can fit most of the stock along the back wall. It gets a bit crowded when a new shipment arrives. Sometimes the street outside is so loud with traffic that we have to close the front door just to hear the phone ring. We are not a big corporation with hundreds of employees. It is just a handful of us who have been working together for years. We know each other’s habits and how the work gets done. Most of our time is spent checking the quality of the lenses and making sure the orders are packed tight so nothing breaks in the mail. We drink a lot of tea while we work. If you are looking for the place, just look for the Balwadi and we are right there. It is a straightforward business, nothing too complicated about it. We just try to stay busy and keep the shelves filled.
