R K Decoraters

Up in Fateganj, at C 5, that’s where you’ll find our shop. We’ve been R K Decoraters for a good bit of time. The space is mostly filled with rolls of cloth and different types of decorative stuff. It’s never really tidy. There’s always some glitter or a piece of ribbon on the floor. We spend our mornings looking at schedules and seeing where the guys need to go for the day. Decorating isn’t as easy as it looks on the outside. It involves a lot of climbing ladders and tying knots that won't come loose. We work with a lot of different people, mostly just locals who need something for a hall or a home event. The weather in Fateganj can be tricky, especially when we’re trying to set things up outside. We keep an eye on the clouds. Inside the shop, it’s a bit quieter but still busy. We have these old chairs where we sit and figure out the costs. My cousin helps out with the transport sometimes. We use a small van that’s seen better days. Every evening we try to sweep up, but like I said, the glitter stays. It’s a simple business. We don’t go for anything too flashy. We just make sure we have enough material for the next job. If the lights work and the drapes look straight, we’re happy with that.
