Aquafine Chemicals

Our spot is at Plot No. 340 in the Por GIDC, right off NH 8. Being so close to the highway means we hear the traffic all day long, which you get used to after a week or so. Aquafine Chemicals is where we spend most of our waking hours. It’s a practical setup here. We deal with various chemical mixes and storage. The drums are lined up in the yard, and there’s always someone checking the seals or moving things with the pallet jack. It’s not the kind of place you’d find in a magazine. It’s an industrial unit, plain and simple. We have a small desk for the paperwork, but mostly we are out on the floor. The weather out here in Por can be tough, especially when the wind kicks up the dirt from the highway. We just keep the gates open for ventilation and get on with the mixing and packing. Sometimes the water supply is a bit finicky, so we have to manage that carefully. Everyone knows their role, from the guys handling the raw materials to the ones loading the vans for the local deliveries. We don't really do much talking unless it's about the work. It’s just a group of us trying to get the orders filled and sent out on time. The coffee machine in the corner is probably the most used thing in the building. It’s a bit old and noisy, but it gets us through the morning shifts.
