If you drive out on Savli Road towards Manjusar, you will eventually find Block No. 648/649 where we are. Pelican Poly & Pallets Pvt. Ltd. is a pretty big site because we need a lot of space for all the pallets. They are stacked up everywhere, and moving them around with the forklift takes up a good chunk of the day. The village area is nice because there is a bit more room to breathe, but it can get quite muddy when it rains. We work outside or under open sheds quite a bit, so we are always at the mercy of the weather. Our days are filled with the sound of wood being moved and the forklift beeping as it backs up. It’s a very physical job, and we all wear heavy boots to protect our feet. We don't spend much time in the office; most of the work happens in the yard. We have a routine of checking the inventory every morning and then loading up the trucks that come in from the main road. The wind blows across the open fields nearby, which helps a bit with the heat. We are just a group of people making sure the pallets are sturdy and ready for use. There isn’t much to say about it other than we show up, do the lifting, and go home tired. It’s a straightforward life out here in Manjusar, and we like the simplicity of just getting through the daily list of shipments.
