Nilkanth Stores

Nilkanth Stores is located inside the Samta Shopping Centre on Samta Road. We are in the Subhanpura part of Vadodara, right near the Samta Police Chowky. It’s a decent spot with a lot of foot traffic. Our shop is one of those places where you can find a bit of everything. We have stationery, some household items, and the usual snacks that kids like. The shop isn’t huge, so every bit of wall space is used for hanging packets or stacking boxes. Sometimes it feels a little cramped when three or four people are inside at once, but that’s just how it is. We spend most of our time keeping track of what’s selling and what’s just sitting there. The morning time is usually spent cleaning the glass jars and sweeping the front. We get a lot of people coming by after they finish their work or when they are out running errands. It’s a very normal shop. We don't have fancy uniforms or anything. Just the local crowd stopping by for their bits and pieces. There’s always some noise from the road, but we’ve gotten used to it over the years. We keep a notebook for the regulars who sometimes pay later in the month. It’s a community thing. We just focus on keeping the basics available for whoever walks in from Samta Road. It is quite a busy life but we enjoy being part of the local market and seeing familiar faces.
