Shree Kuldevi Wood Industries

Being at Plot No. 991-3-d in the GIDC Ind. Estate means there’s always sawdust in the air. That’s just life at Shree Kuldevi Wood Industries. I’ve been working with wood since I was a kid, so this place feels like home even if it’s just a factory unit. We have stacks of timber piled up nearly to the ceiling. It smells great in the morning, but by the end of the day, you’re just tired and covered in dust. We make all sorts of wooden items, mostly industrial stuff like pallets or crates, but sometimes special orders too. The saws are loud, so we use earplugs, but you still feel the vibration in your teeth. This plot is a good size for us, though moving the long planks around can be a bit of a puzzle. We have a small crew and we all know each other’s rhythm. If one guy is cutting, the other is already waiting to sand it down. It’s a steady pace. We don’t really bother with big corporate talk. We just tell people what we can make and how much it’ll cost. Most of the time, they just want something sturdy that won't break. The GIDC can be a bit chaotic with all the trucks moving around, but inside our gates, it’s just about the wood. It’s honest work and it keeps us busy from Monday to Saturday. I'm usually the last one to lock up at night.
