You wouldn't expect a place making sports stuff to be tucked away in Plot No. 992-1-12-c of the GIDC Ind. Estate, but that’s where Parmar Games Sports is. It’s a bit different from the chemical and metal shops nearby. We spend our days surrounded by nets, balls, and wooden bats. It’s a lot more colorful than most of the other units. I got into this because I always loved playing games as a kid. Now I’m the one making sure the equipment is put together right. We have a few specialized machines for the stitching and assembly. It’s quiet work compared to the engineering shops, which I appreciate. The light in this plot is pretty good in the mornings, which helps with the detail work. We aren't a massive factory, just a local outfit making things for schools and local clubs. Sometimes kids come by with their parents to pick up stuff directly, and it’s nice to see them get excited about a new piece of gear. We don't have a big marketing department or anything. We just focus on making things that can take a beating on the playground. It’s satisfying to see something you made being used out in the world. We stay pretty busy throughout the year, especially when the school seasons start up. It’s a good little business and we’re happy to be here in the GIDC doing our thing. It keeps us on our toes.
