Jb Spices

Jb Spices is based at Plot No. C-1-145-b in the Gidc Ind. Estate. You can usually smell our place before you actually see it because of all the spice grinding we do every day. We handle different kinds of spices like chili, turmeric, and coriander, so the air is often thick with a strong scent. It makes some visitors sneeze when they first walk in, but we have all gotten used to it over the years. The plot is just a simple industrial building where we have our heavy-duty grinders and some long packing tables. We've been at this Gidc location for quite a while now. It’s a family-run kind of thing, so it’s usually just us and a few helpers from the local neighborhood. We don't have any of that high-tech automation; it's mostly manual work, filling up the bags and sealing them by hand. The address, C-1-145-b, is right in the middle of a very busy row of industrial units. We get deliveries of whole spices in big burlap sacks throughout the week, and then we spend our days processing them into powder. It's hard work and the spice dust gets everywhere, even under our fingernails and into our hair. We don't have a fancy showroom for people to browse. If someone wants to buy a bag, they just come to the side door and ask. We take our breaks together and talk about what’s happening in the estate.
