Bharat Tubes And Engineering Co is situated at Plot No. A-1 in Ogadhgar Society, right near the Akshvani area of Gidc Ind. Estate. It’s a bit of a landmark for us because we’re right at the start of the lane. The building has been there for quite some time, and you can tell by the way the gate squeaks every time someone opens it. We deal with tubes and all sorts of metal parts, so there’s always a lot of clanging going on. The trucks come and go from the front of the plot, which can get a bit tight when the neighbors have their deliveries arriving at the same time. We don’t have a big team, just a handful of us who have been working together for years. We know each other's habits and how the machines like to be handled. Sometimes it gets a bit chaotic with piles of materials stacked up, but we have our own system for finding things. There isn't a fancy sign out front, just the name painted on the wall. We don’t spend money on advertising or anything like that. People in the Gidc know where we are if they need us. It’s just a regular workplace where we put in our hours and go home. We try to keep the coffee pot full and the work moving along at Plot No. A-1. It's a steady routine for us here.
