We have been here in New Sama at the Ghnyangunj Complex for a good number of years now. It is a busy spot on the Main Road, right near the Chankayapuri Cross Road. My family and I run this place, mostly helping people with their prescriptions and some basic things they need for the house. It’s not just medicines; we keep some provision items too because people in the neighborhood often ask for them. The shop opens early and we stay until late evening, just doing our thing. Sometimes it gets really crowded in the afternoons when everyone is out running errands. Dealing with the distributors takes up a lot of time, checking the boxes and making sure we have what people usually ask for. New Sama has changed a lot, more traffic now and new buildings, but we are still here in the same corner. If you walk past the cross road, you will see our sign. It is a small space, filled with shelves up to the ceiling. We don't do anything fancy, just standard pharmacy work and selling some soap or oil. It’s a lot of standing around and talking to neighbors about their health or the local weather. Most of our customers are folks we have known since they were kids. It’s a simple life here in Vadodara, keeping the shop running and making sure things are in order for the next day.
