Jiviteshvara Farmer Producer Company Limited is based in Wadod Chatha. We operate through Bhivasan Kisan Mapari, and that’s where most of our activity happens. It’s a small place, and everyone knows everyone else. We started this company because we were tired of being the last ones to find out about market prices or new ways of doing things. In Wadod Chatha, we grow a variety of stuff, but it’s hard to make a decent living when you’re just one person. By coming together as Jiviteshvara, we can at least share the burden of transporting our goods. We don't have a fancy office with air conditioning. Usually, we just meet at Bhivasan’s place and talk things through. It’s very informal, but we keep our records as best as we can. We’re learning as we go. None of us went to business school; we learned everything we know from working the dirt. Sometimes we argue about which way to go with a sale, but we always end up figuring it out eventually. We aren't trying to be the biggest company out there. We just want to represent the farmers in our little corner of the world and make sure we aren't forgotten by the big buyers. It’s a lot of physical work and a lot of worrying about the weather, but that’s just part of the life we chose here in the village.
