Infosys Technologies Limited

Our place is at 25 Jay Bajrang Society, which is right opposite the GIDC workshop in the Subhanpura area of Vadodara. It’s a very grounded kind of location. You can usually hear the sounds of the workshop nearby, which reminds us that people are always busy making things. We are doing the same, just with software and data for Infosys Technologies Limited instead of heavy machinery. Our office is basically a house in a society, so it doesn't feel cold or stiff like a big office might. We have a few rooms set up for the different teams, and there’s always someone in the kitchen making a fresh pot of tea or coffee. We’ve been at this address for a good stretch of time now, and we know most of the people living around us. It’s nice to say hello to the neighbors when we arrive in the morning. We don’t spend much time on fancy decorations or trying to impress people who walk in. Our focus is just on the screens and the work we need to finish by Friday. Sometimes the power goes out for a bit, or the street gets blocked by a delivery truck, but we just take it as it comes. It is a very normal, local way of working. We enjoy being in Vadodara and this particular spot in Subhanpura has become quite a second home for the whole team here. It is just where we happen to do our work.
