House Wife

My name is Jigna Dixit and I’m a House Wife. I live at 14 Ghanshyam Nagar, which is just behind the Vaisali Society in Halol. My husband is Rudresh Trivedi, who works as an advocate. Most of my day is spent right here at home in the Panchamahal district. It’s a lot of work even if people don't always see it. I handle the kitchen, the cleaning, and all the small things that keep a house functioning. Halol is a place I’ve come to know very well. Our house in Ghanshyam Nagar is where I spend almost all my time. I don't have a big team or a fancy title. My life revolves around the needs of my family. I wake up before everyone else to get things started. There’s always shopping to do or something that needs tidying up. It’s a practical life. I don't worry about business trends or marketing. I just worry about if we have enough milk or if the garden needs watering. Some people think being a house wife is easy, but they don't see the long hours. It’s an honest way to spend the day. I like the routine of it even when it gets a bit repetitive. Our neighbors are good people and we help each other out when we can. That’s just how we live here in our little corner of the world.
