H. J. Arochem (P) Ltd.

Out in the village of Moraiya, you’ll find the New Ahmedabad Industrial Estates, and that’s where H. J. Arochem (P) Ltd. is based. We are at 11/B, which is a decent-sized plot where we handle our chemical processing. It’s a bit of a drive from the city center, but we like it out here because there’s more space to work. The air smells a bit different because of all the different industries nearby. Our team is a mix of people from the local village and some who commute from the city. We spend most of our time in lab coats or out on the floor checking the vats and the drums. It’s a very hands-on environment. We don't have a big HR department or anything like that; we just know each other by name and get on with the day’s production. The office part of the building is pretty basic—just some desks and a few old filing cabinets. We do a lot of testing to make sure the chemicals are up to the right standards. It's serious work, but we still find time to joke around during the lunch break. We’ve been at this for several years now, and the estate has grown a lot since we first arrived at unit 11/B. We just focus on our chemistry and keeping things safe and moving along. We usually have lunch together in the small courtyard outside when the weather allows it.
