Guruprem Super Stores

If you are walking down Main Road in Vadodara, you will see us at 7 Balaji Arcade. We have been in this spot for quite a while now. The 390001 area is pretty central, so we get a good mix of people coming through the doors. Guruprem Super Stores isn't as big as the name might make it sound, but we carry a lot of stock in the back. Rows are set up for different things, though sometimes they get mixed up when customers are browsing through the aisles. The arcade stays busy throughout the afternoon. Usually, one person stays at the billing desk while another helps find items on the high shelves. We keep the basic groceries and some snacks. It gets very hot in the summer, so a small cooler for drinks hums all day. No complicated systems are used here. Just a ledger and some basic records on paper. Sometimes the delivery truck blocks the entrance for a few minutes, which is a bit of a pain for the neighbors, but we try to be quick about it. Most of the families living around here come to us for their monthly supplies. We know what brands they usually like. It is just a normal way to earn a living. Things are kept simple and we try to stay stocked up on the things that run out fast. The metal shutters need oiling soon.
