We operate Gujarat Cork Industries & Baroda Cap Liners out of a spot on Padra-Jambusar Road. It’s right across from Hemant Plastics, so that’s usually the landmark we tell people to look for. Being near Bhaili Railway Station makes it easier for some of the crew to get to work on time. We are in Block 365. The area is quite busy with industrial activity, especially with the post office in Dabhasa nearby. We spend our days dealing with cork and cap liners. It’s dusty work sometimes. The machines have their own rhythm and we’ve learned to live with the noise they make. We aren’t a massive corporation with polished floors. Our floors have seen a lot of use and there are always crates sitting around. We just focus on getting the liners cut right and making sure the cork quality is okay for what the customers need. Sometimes the power fluctuates a bit, which can be annoying, but we just reset and keep going. We've been at this location for a good bit now. Everyone knows where we are. It’s a simple operation. We take the raw materials in and send the finished liners out. We don’t spend much time on fancy talk. We just show up, do the shifts, and head home. It gets hot in the summer months but we have some fans going to keep the air moving. Our lunch breaks are usually spent sitting outside if the weather isn't too harsh.
