Creative Corrugating Industries

Being over on Industrial Estate Road in Gorwa means we are right in the middle of all the noise and activity. It is just the way it is in this part of town. Our building isn't much to look at from the outside, but inside we have got our corrugating machines going most of the day. The smell of paper and that specific glue we use is always hanging in the air. It’s a heavy smell, but you get used to it after a while. Most of the staff has been here for years, so we all know the routine pretty well. We spend our mornings moving stacks of brown board around and making sure the cuts are straight for the boxes. It gets pretty hot in the afternoons, especially when the machines have been running since six in the morning. We don't really do much advertising or anything fancy like that. People usually find us because they need boxes for their businesses and we are right here in Gorwa. Sometimes the trucks have a hard time backing into the loading area because the road is narrow, but we manage somehow. It’s just honest work. We make the sheets, we glue them, and we stack them up for the next person. There is always a lot of scrap paper on the floor by the end of the shift, so cleaning up takes a bit of time every evening before we lock up the gates and go home.
